Please see below the information you will require on the logistics of moving in to your new property. For most of you, the first day of your tenancy is the 2nd of September - we are not open on Sundays, so we will not be open for key collection on the 1st - this is why tenancies start on the second, not the first.
If you have not yet returned a completed Direct Debit mandate, or contacted the accounts department to arrange an alternate method of payment, please email [email protected] with your name and address to arrange this immediately to ensure you are able to move in. You should have received the Direct Debit form by email, if you haven't seen this, it may have gone to a junk mail box.
To move in, you will need to come to our offices during our opening hours to collect your keys. One person from each house will collect all of the keys for the property (in houses booked by groups who know each other). Please discuss this with your flatmates, and arrange for the first tenant to collect keys on the house's behalf.
Keys will not be able to be collected for any individual that has not yet paid their rent.
Our office hours are :
- 0900 - 1700 Monday to Friday.
- We will not be open on weekends, or Bank Holidays.
Our office address :
70 North Hill,
Bowden Hall
Plymouth
Devon
PL4 8HF
We will not be open on any weekend days during September.
When collecting keys from our office there is free, but limited parking on-street on Bedford Park Villas; there are 30 minute, and 2 hour free zones on Bedford Park, and there is a pay-and-display car park on the opposite side of North Hill, accessed from North Road East. Please do not use any of the business' car parks around the building, as these are privately owned by other parties.
In the next few weeks you will be receiving an email from our online maintenance system - this is called ahah.report. This system is our primary means of communication with our tenants, you will all have your own user, you can access the health and safety documents for your property, report maintenance, you will be notified of inspections and viewings via this system. There are also guides on general house-hold issues. When you receive this email, please complete the sign-up procedure to ensure you don't miss any important communication. If you do have any maintenance issues, they must be reported using this system - this way, your property manager and the contractors can immediately see the message, as can all of your housemates, so everyone knows what is going on; when someone may be attending for example.
Someone else collecting your keys for you?
If someone that does not live at the property is collecting keys on your behalf,
- We will need the name of the person authorised to collect your keys by email : [email protected]
- You must have already paid your rent.
- They will need to come to the office with ID.
